hometown holiday experience. We invite all to join us in beginning this holiday season by attending the traditional Swiss Village lighting ceremony and live nativity, followed by the Legacy Home Furnishings Christmas tree lighting, and finally the lighting of Historic Main Street.
Don't forget to bring your kids to Santa's Workshop to meet Santa and his elves. Magic on the Mountain is concluded with a traditional parade down Main Street featuring decorated floats, trucks, and holiday carolers. In years past, that jolly old elf from the North Pole (Santa) has made a special appearance for all the kids.
Bring your blankets, chairs, and a cup of hot chocolate and start off your holiday season Rim Country style.

| Tamales For Toys (Saturday, December 6, 2008 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm) |

The annual exchange of new toys for a plate of tamales will be held at the Payson Elks Lodge. The toys generated from this event are used for the Public Safety Christmas for Kids program. The community celebrates this annual event by lighting up Main Street with decorated floats, trucks, and holiday carolers. Come and see the bright lights and enjoy a fun home town family event.

The Payson Christian Ministerial Fellowship presents the Spirit of Christmas musical pageant on Sunday, December 7 at the Payson High School Auditorium. There will be two shows at 2 and 6 pm. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted for canned or boxed food items to replenish the St Vincent De Paul food bank. Please come and enjoy this contemporary and spectacular musical story.

Come to Green Valley Lake for a parade of boats decked out in holiday lights for the 2nd Annual Boat Regatta. Parade starts when it gets dark, approximately 6:00 p.m. Enjoy the boats and visit Santa's Workshop across the street. EVENT CANCELED - Enjoy a bus tour of the beautifully decorated homes in Payson. Take a ride through the rolling hills and breath in the fresh clean air as you are amazed by the bright lights. Meet the bus at Julia Randle Elementry School Cafeteria. Light refreshments will be served while you wait for the bus.
