 Coach Graham Message
Todd Graham Coach Graham Message About Returning to Camp T.

“Looking at that tape, it gives me a lot of anticipation and excitement about returning to Camp Tontozona. I think tradition is what binds us together, and from the time I walked in the door and had an opportunity to meet with some of our former players, they talked to me about that importance and about that tradition. Obviously a lot of it is that importance of tradition, and that’s what makes college football so special. It’s one of the main reasons why I think it’s very important to go back.

Obviously Kevin Miniefield, and the former players are very instrumental in how they feel and are passionate about that. The memories that are made there are very special and important. For our team and moving forward it is something that I think is very important to our football team. The idea of developing character, toughness, discipline are the team bonding opportunities that you are able to do at a place like Camp T are incredible for our football team.

I have spent a lot of time with Coach Kush and philosophically have a lot in common and I like the idea of sending players to the top of Mount Kush. Coach Kush had a tremendous vision back in 1960 to go there and it is something that I want to do as a football team. I want us to be a blue collar, high character, disciplined football team. In the day we live in now there are so many luxuries in college football and I like the idea of the camp and having our guys not being able to use their cell phones or internet and just spending time with each other. It is all about team.

This camp represents something that is bigger than any coach or any player. It is ASU football. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the people who have came before me, and Coach Kush being one of them, and I am looking forward to taking this team back and create the memories that the players will talk about 20 and 30 years from now. Success is associated with this camp and I think it has a lot to do with the team coming together. Obviously I think it is something that is very important and I need all the help I can get to make it happen. It is very important for our team and for the success of our team in 2012 as well for the traditions of our program. I am excited about the opportunity and our commitment to return to Camp T.”
